FounderLorraine Draper is a community organizer and prevention advocate with experience leading large scale mental health initiatives across Idaho. Passionate about proactive suicide prevention, Lorraine brings expertise in trauma informed practice, community engagement, and cross sector collaboration. She is committed to strengthening protective factors and building visible networks of support before crisis escalates.
Jacob Ballard
President
Jacob is a practicing social worker specializing in addiction and recovery services. His work supports individuals and families navigating substance use disorders, trauma, and long term recovery. Recognizing the close connection between addiction, mental health, and suicide risk, Jacob is committed to strengthening protective factors and expanding access to support. Through Light the Way Idaho, he brings frontline clinical insight and a dedication to prevention focused community collaboration.
Jennie Buley
Secretary
Jennie is a project manager at the Idaho Office for Refugees, supporting programs that help individuals and families rebuild their lives in Idaho. She also serves as a program manager for Start Small, a grassroots nonprofit providing education and opportunity to underserved youth and families in Kenya.
Jennie is honored to serve as Board Secretary, bringing strong organization, follow through, and a deep commitment to ensuring people feel seen, heard, and supported. She believes meaningful change begins with honest conversation, compassionate care, and communities that show up for one another.

Treasurer
Jason is a career nonprofit leader with experience running organizations from after-school programs to science centers. Passionate about community building, Jason has run meetup groups, support groups, and workshops. Seeing the great importance of relationships in healing, Jason volunteers with a number of organizations that work on building connections, bridging divides, and promoting social health.
